“A Place at the Table”: An Interfaith Event on Ending Hunger

The Northern Piedmont Chapter of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy and Germanna Presents! invite you for an afternoon of information and inspiration as we seek to end hunger in our community. This event will challenge stereotypes, provide education on the main causes of hunger, and inspire participants to work to end food insecurity in our community. The program will feature a panel of interfaith religious leaders, clips from the movie “A Place at the Table”, and lively discussion with area organizations already fighting hunger in our neighborhoods.

This event will be held on Oct. 11, 2014 at Germanna Community College, Daniel Technology Center, 18121 Technology Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701. Registration and Refreshments will begin at 4pm, followed by the program from 4:30-6pm. For questions leave a message for Pastor Kate Costa at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 540-825-8358. Or, contact Barbara Taylor at 540-834-1096, gccevents@germanna.edu.
